Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Manage month-, quarter-, and year-end close to ensure timely and accurate reporting of costs, inventory, and supply chain costs.
• Review and analyze inventory entries for accurate valuation and reporting.
• Partner with Merchandising and Finance to identify opportunities to optimize store performance.
• Monitor internal controls to ensure accuracy of inventories and explain variances.
• Manage balance sheet reconciliations including inventory and distribution center accounts.
• Publish timely financial statements and analysis for management.
• Support external audits and raise technical accounting issues for analysis.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis; drive process improvements.

We are looking for an Accounting Manager capable of navigating data systems while building great business relationships.

Efficiently and accurately manage and oversee various financial activities within the organization. Involves analyzing financial data, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations.

Salary range: $88,000- $105,000.

You will be responsible for:

• Manage the month, quarter and year-end close activities to ensure timely and accurate reporting of the cost of goods, inventory, and supply chain costs.
• Review and analyze all inventory related entries to provide accurate inventory valuation and reporting.

Business Partnership & Analysis

• Participate in management meetings to provide accounting support and financial data for key decisions.
• Partner with the Merchandising and Finance team to identify and drive opportunities to optimize store performance.

Internal Controls & Audit

• Monitor compliance with the system of internal controls to ensure the accuracy of physical inventories and explain variances to the prior quarter and prior year.
• Manage all balance sheet reconciliations, including inventory and distribution center accounts.
• Publish timely financial statements and analysis for management.
• Support all external audit activities related to the areas of responsibilities.
• Raise technical accounting issue for further analysis and research
• Analyze process automation to reduce cost and increase effectiveness.
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting and ongoing variance analysis.
• Partner and collaborate with peers and business partners to support process improvement and alignment within the finance group and cross functionally.
• Develop and maintain an effective team by coaching, training, and supporting team members’ growth and day-to-day performance.

Required:

Ability to coach, mentor, teach and train others to achieve operational objectives including fundamentals of accounting operations

• Strong knowledge of GAAP and internal controls
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and advanced Excel, pivot table and VLOOKUP skills
• Multi-functional responsibility inside companies with heavy process orientation

Preferred:

• Public accounting experience
• Experience using Sage 100 2025 accounting software

Experience:

• Minimum of 5 years experience in accounting with demonstrated success at increasing levels of responsibility in analytical roles
• Minimum of 2 years experieince management, supervisory and/or leadership experience

Education:

• 4 Year Bachelors Degree and/or equivalent experience/training

Licenses and Certificates
