Job summary

flyExclusive is seeking an Accounting Manager in Raleigh to support the Controller in day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, and monthly close. You will lead staff and ensure GAAP-compliant information while coordinating with other departments.

Qualified candidates have a Bachelor's in accounting or finance, 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, and strong Excel and accounting systems skills. This on-site role offers a competitive package and growth opportunities.

• Five or more years of progressive accounting experience.
• Two years of experience at the Senior Accountant level or above.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.

Responsibilities

• Support the Controller in overseeing accounting operations and financial reporting.
• Manage monthly close in FloQast and preparation of financial statements.
• Oversee general ledger activity and coordinate with AP/AR and payroll.
• Ensure transactions and reconciliations are recorded accurately and timely per GAAP.
• Support audits and regulatory compliance.
• Provide clear financial information to business leaders.
• Supervise and develop accounting team members.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

The Accounting Manager supports the Controller in overseeing day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, and the monthly close. This role helps ensure accurate, timely, and GAAP-compliant financial information while leading and developing accounting staff.

Responsibilities

• Support the Controller in overseeing accounting operations and financial reporting
• Manage monthly close in FloQast and preparation of financial statements including TB flux analysis
• Oversee general ledger activity and coordinate with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll
• Ensure transactions and account reconciliations are recorded accurately and timely in accordance with GAAP
• Support audits and compliance with applicable regulatory and tax requirements
• Provide clear financial information and respond to requests from business leaders
• Supervise, coach, and develop assigned accounting team members
• Perform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
• At least two years of experience at the Senior Accountant level or above
• Five or more years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls
• Employment is contingent upon successful completion of required background checks

Preferred Qualifications

• Aviation or aerospace industry experience
• CPA or equivalent certification

Work Environment

• Monday through Friday in the Raleigh office; this is not a remote or hybrid position
