Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• At least seven years of progressive accounting experience.
• Experience leading an accounting team.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
• Experience with inventory or product‑based businesses is preferred.
• Advanced Excel and accounting or ERP system experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
• Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
• Oversee the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and reconciliations.
• Manage inventory accounting and cost‑related reporting.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
• Maintain internal controls and improve accounting procedures.
• Coordinate audits, tax preparation, and compliance requirements.
• Mentor accounting staff and provide financial guidance to leadership.

Base Salary: $110,000 - $125,000 + Quarterly bonus

A growing, privately held organization is seeking a hands‑on Accounting Manager to oversee day‑to‑day accounting operations and strengthen its financial processes.

This position is designed as a six‑month transition into the Controller role. The selected candidate will begin as Accounting Manager and, after completing the transition period, will be promoted to Controller with a corresponding pay increase.

• Hybrid schedule with four days in the office and one day remote
• Quarterly performance bonus of up to 11%
• Planned promotion to Controller after six months
• Additional pay increase upon promotion
