The Accounting Manager will oversee daily accounting operations and ensure the accurate and timely preparation of financial reports. This role is responsible for managing core accounting functions including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, general ledger, treasury, and month-end close activities. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership abilities and a solid understanding of accounting principles and best practices.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position manages the accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general accounting staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the accounting department to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
• Manage the month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Ensure compliance with US GAAP and internal policies.
• Supervise and support the AP, AR, and general accounting teams.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance workflow and accuracy.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments and support audits as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 6+ years of progressive accounting experience in manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and general accounting procedures.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and accounting software systems.
• High attention to detail with excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Great Plains, Sage, JD Edwards) is a plus.
• Exposure to publicly held company accounting practices is a plus.
