Austin Electrical Enclosures in North Carolina is seeking a Site Accounting Manager to lead month-end close, GAAP/IFRS compliance, and cost accounting. This role reports to the Director of Accounting and oversees A/R and A/P processes with two direct reports.

You will partner with operations, materials management and finance to improve internal controls, refine job costing, BOMs, and routing, and support audits and budgeting.

Responsabilidades

• Lead month end close and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Ensure financial records comply with GAAP or IFRS, as applicable.
• Support internal and external audits.
• Oversee physical inventory counts and cycle counts.
• Reconcile inventory balances and investigate discrepancies.
• Develop overhead rates and standard product costs for materials, labor, and overhead.
• Perform variance analysis (actual vs. standard) and recommend corrective actions.
• Monitor and update BOMs and routing for accurate costing.
• Collaborate with commercial and operational teams to develop annual budgets.
• Track performance against budget and provide regular forecast updates.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and areas for financial improvement.
• Supervise and develop accounting staff.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement, stewardship and financial discipline.
• Provide training on financial controls and processes.
• Ensure adherence to internal control procedures and GAAP / Financial Audit principles.
• Develop policies and procedures for efficient accounting operations.

Job Details

The Site Accounting Manager is a critical leadership role at the Austin Electrical Enclosures business in North Carolina. The position directly reports to the Director of Accounting and has 2 direct reports covering A/R and A/P work processes. The role interfaces among operations, materials management and finance to ensure timely and accurate GL accounting, product costing, internal controls and GAAP financial audit support.

This role is responsible for ensuring timeliness and accuracy of month end close, ensuring overall accounting process compliance, year‑end financial accounting processes as well as helping to design and refine processes for job cost accounting leveraging our ERP system. The role has oversight and responsibility for daily A/R work processes, daily A/P work processes and other accounting related ad‑hoc projects and requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting & Financial Reporting

• Lead month end close and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Ensure financial records comply with GAAP or IFRS, as applicable.
• Support internal and external audits.

Inventory Accounting & Financial Management

• Oversee physical inventory counts and cycle counts.
• Reconcile inventory balances and investigate discrepancies.
• Ensure accurate valuation of raw materials, WIP, and finished goods.

Cost Accounting

• Develop overhead rates and standard product costs for materials, labor, and overhead.
• Perform variance analysis (actual vs. standard) and recommend corrective actions.
• Monitor and update Bill of Materials (BOMs) and routing for accurate costing.

Budgeting and Forecasting

• Collaborate with commercial and operational teams to develop annual budgets.
• Track performance against budget and provide regular forecast updates.
• Identify cost‑saving opportunities and areas for financial improvement.

Team Leadership

• Supervise and develop accounting staff.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement, stewardship and financial discipline.
• Provide training on financial controls and processes.
