Job summary

The Publish Press is seeking an Accounting Manager to own day-to-day bookkeeping in a fast-paced creative studio in the New York City metro area, with part-time on-site or hybrid work.

You’ll reconcile accounts, manage AP/AR, track production spend against budgets, and keep QuickBooks current. You’ll collaborate with Ops on contractor payments via Ramp and payroll runs in ADP.

A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is a plus, as is QuickBooks certification.

Qualifications

• Bookkeeping experience in production, media, agency, or fast-paced creative environments.
• Fluency in QuickBooks and end-to-end ownership of the books.
• Experience with Ramp and ADP payroll is a strong plus.
• Strong reconciliations and ability to catch discrepancies early.
• Organized, process-driven, tracking invoices, payments, and deadlines.

Accounting Manager

We're looking for a detail-driven accounting manager who can keep our finances accurate and organized while our team moves quickly on creative projects and stunts. If you thrive on bringing structure and precision to a fast-paced creative studio, this is the role for you.

The Role

This is a part-time, on-site or hybrid role based in the New York City Metropolitan Area. You'll own day-to-day bookkeeping across a fast-moving creative studio — reconciling accounts, managing AP/AR, tracking production spend against budget, and keeping our books current in QuickBooks. You'll work closely with Ops to make sense of contractor payments through Ramp, payroll runs in ADP, and the dozens of moving pieces that come with running brand activations, shoots, and talent deals at the same time.

Qualifications

• Proven bookkeeping experience, ideally in production, media, agency, or another fast-paced creative environment
• Fluency in QuickBooks; comfortable owning the books end to end, not just data entry, such as reconciling bank statements and credit card statements
• Experience with modern spend/expense tools like Ramp, and payroll platforms like ADP, is a strong plus
• Sharp with reconciliations — can catch a discrepancy before it becomes a problem
• Organized and process-driven, tracking every invoice, payment, and deadline without letting anything slip
• Comfortable with ambiguity: budgets here move as fast as the ideas do, and you can keep pace without losing accuracy
• Discretion with sensitive financial and contractor information
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is a plus; QuickBooks certification is a plus
