Elite World Group is seeking an experienced General Ledger Lead to oversee general ledger activities and manage monthly and annual closes in accordance with US GAAP. You will lead month-end and year-end close, prepare journal entries and reconciliations, and supervise junior staff.

The ideal candidate has 6–8 years of progressive accounting experience, strong knowledge of US GAAP, and proficiency in Netsuite ERP and Excel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 6–8 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Advanced knowledge of US GAAP, journal entries, accrual accounting, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• CPA preferred.

Responsabilités

• Lead month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring accurate and timely completion.
• Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, prepayments, reclassifications, and adjusting entries.
• Oversee general ledger integrity and ensure proper accounting treatment and classification of transactions.
• Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations, including cash, payroll liabilities, intercompany accounts, and accrued expenses.
• Research and resolve complex accounting discrepancies and technical accounting matters.
• Ensure compliance with US GAAP, company accounting policies, and internal controls.
• Support financial statement preparation, including trial balance reviews and financial reporting schedules.
• Supervise and review the work of junior accounting staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring accurate and timely completion.
• Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, prepayments, reclassifications, and adjusting entries.
• Oversee general ledger integrity and ensure proper accounting treatment and classification of transactions.
• Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations, including cash, payroll liabilities, intercompany accounts, and accrued expenses.

• Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
• CPA preferred.
