Lelch in Minnetonka, MN is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead accounting and back‑office operations. You will manage AR/AP, payroll, finance functions and HR oversight. The ideal candidate brings deep GAAP knowledge, ERP skills and construction accounting experience to balance tactical execution with strategic oversight.

You will report to the CEO, work on-site, and drive monthly financial statements, annual budgeting and risk management while mentoring a small team.

Qualifications

• BS/Accounting degree with GAAP knowledge required.
• 7+ years in Finance & Accounting with P&L responsibility.
• 3+ years in Construction Accounting (inventory, labor, WIP).
• 3+ years in a leadership role overseeing a small team.
• Deep Excel skills and ERP proficiency.
• Experience with financial statements, budgeting, and internal controls.

Responsibilities

• Oversee AR/AP, reconciliations, payroll, and HR activities.
• Prepare monthly/annual financial statements and forecasts.
• Lead budgeting, planning, and cash flow management.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and internal controls.
• Act as backup for finance roles and support department leadership.
• Maintain inventory and job costing accuracy.

Compensation: $95,000 - $125,000 / year

Description

The Accounting Manager oversees our accounting and back-office operations. This role plays a key part in ensuring operational efficiency and financial accuracy. You will manage a team of one professional responsible for critical back-office functions, including accounting (AR/AP), HR, payroll, and administration. The ideal candidate must have deep experience in accounting for construction-related trades, strong ERP skills, and the ability to balance tactical execution with operational oversight.

Financial Mgmt:

• AR, AP, Account Reconciliations, Collections, Payroll
