Job summary

Perforce Software is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead a team through rapid growth and international expansion. You will oversee the global monthly close, NetSuite general ledger, and acquisitions integration, working with the Controller and VP of Finance to meet company goals.

This role requires 5+ years of accounting experience, strong US GAAP knowledge, and experience with major systems such as NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and ability to interpret new guidance in international business.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting and CPA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to the accounting team and drive continuous improvement.
• Manage general ledger activities including journal entry prep/review.
• Ensure timely account reconciliations and accuracy of close processes.
• Apply technical accounting research to support GAAP applications.
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes and strengthen controls.

Position Summary:

Perforce Software is looking for an Accounting Manager to lead a team through a period of rapid growth and international expansion. Specific areas of responsibility will include managing the global monthly close process, maintaining the NetSuite general ledger system, integrating domestic and international acquisitions, and other general accounting functions. This position will work closely with the Controller and the Vice President of Finance as well as other senior management to meet department and company goals.

Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership and direction to the accounting team and encourage an attitude of continuous improvement in their day-to-day activities
• Manage general ledger activities, including journal entry preparation/review related to variety of areas: fixed assets, debt, software capitalization, payroll, employee stock, accounts receivable, cash, and other close-related functions
• Ensure account reconciliations are completed in a timely manner and are reviewed for accuracy and completeness
• Apply technical research to accounting conclusions on an ad hoc basis to evaluate the application of US GAAP to support transactions and document accounting conclusions
• Identify opportunities to eliminate manual work, accelerate the close, improve data quality, strengthen controls, and standardize processes

Requirements:

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and the ability to interpret and implement new accounting guidance in an increasingly complex international business environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and can work effectively with people outside of the accounting function
• Operational experience with a major accounting system (such as NetSuite, Oracle, SAP etc.)
• Comfortable working in a fast paced, team-oriented environment
• Strong people management and mentoring skills
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting and a CPA certification preferred
• Experience in documenting and improving existing systems and processes preferred

Level 1: Basic AI User (Foundation) Uses approved AI tools to support daily work, writes basic prompts, and reviews outputs for accuracy while following security, privacy, and Responsible AI guidelines.
