We are seeking an Accounting Manager to assist in the leadership and oversight of the bank's accounting and financial reporting functions. This individual will be responsible for managing daily accounting operations, general ledger activities, regulatory reporting, CECL administration, financial controls, and month-end close processes. The ideal candidate will possess strong banking accounting experience, regulatory reporting knowledge, leadership skills, and the ability to support strategic financial initiatives while ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

Job Requirements

• Assist in managing the accounting and finance functions of the bank.
• Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting staff.
• Oversee general ledger maintenance, fixed asset accounting, and accounts payable functions.
• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.
• Prepare and review financial reports for senior management and the Board of Directors.
• Administer and maintain general ledger accounts, reporting structures, and system interfaces.
• Oversee the Allowance for Credit Losses (CECL) process and related reporting.
• Prepare schedules and supporting documentation for Call Reports and regulatory filings.
• Perform accounting and reporting for holding company entities and affiliated operating companies.
• Review journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting schedules for accuracy and completeness.
• Coordinate regulatory reporting requirements and ensure timely submissions.
• Serve as a liaison with internal and external auditors, including preparation of audited financial statements.
• Prepare tax accrual analyses and support tax-related reporting requirements.
• Assist with system implementations, upgrades, and conversions.
• Develop, maintain, and enhance accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Participate in budgeting activities, including operating expenses and revenue forecasting.
• Perform quarterly testing and monitoring of key accounting internal controls.

Job Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience within a bank or financial institution.
• Prior supervisory or management experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of bank accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Experience with CECL administration and accounting.
• Knowledge of Call Reports and regulatory reporting requirements.
• Experience managing general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and month-end close.
• Familiarity with internal controls, audit support, and policy development.
• Experience with accounting software, financial systems, and reporting platforms.
• Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
