Job summary

SpectrumCareers is seeking a CPA with strong ASC 606 expertise to lead revenue-recognition research and advise on complex transactions. You will evaluate contracts, partner with Finance, FP&A, Legal, Sales, and leadership on revenue matters, and prepare supporting memos for technical conclusions.

The role involves supporting month-end close, external audits, and monitoring new accounting guidance to drive improvements and strengthen internal controls.

Qualifications

• CPA required.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Public accounting experience required, preferably Big Four.
• Strong knowledge of ASC 606 Revenue Recognition.
• Experience researching and documenting technical accounting positions.
• Ability to interpret complex contracts and translate terms into accounting conclusions.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to present findings to senior leadership.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical accounting research and implementation related to revenue recognition and complex business transactions.

• Evaluate contracts and revenue arrangements to ensure proper accounting treatment.
• Partner with Finance, FP&A, Legal, Sales, and Executive Leadership on revenue matters.

• Assist with month-end and quarter-end close processes related to revenue accounting.
• Support external audits and respond to technical accounting inquiries from auditors.
• Monitor emerging accounting guidance and assess impacts to the organization.
• Drive process improvements and strengthen internal controls across accounting operations.
• Participate in strategic initiatives, acquisitions, and new business offerings from an accounting perspective.
