Job summary

Withum is seeking an Accounting Manager for our Lincolnshire, IL office. This hybrid role requires three days in the office and leads the Business Enterprise Advisors team in delivering accounting, assurance and advisory services to private companies.

You will supervise engagement staff, mentor team members, and collaborate across tax, assurance and advisory services. The ideal candidate holds a CPA, has 5+ years in a CPA or tax consulting environment, and demonstrates strong leadership,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a business-related field is required.
• CPA license is required.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a local or mid-sized CPA firm or tax consulting practice.
• Experience handling a high volume of financial statements with tight deadlines.
• Strong accounting technical knowledge and up-to-date on key changes in law.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, project management and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple engagements in a fast-paced team environment.

Responsibilities

• Analyze financial statements, assess risks, and recommend cost reductions and revenue enhancements.
• Identify bottlenecks, streamline processes, and implement productivity improvements.
• Develop and implement change management during organizational transitions.
• Supervise, train, and support engagement staff and maintain open communication with partners.
• Inspire, mentor, and retain staff while assigning challenging work.
• Review and supervise compilation and review level financial statements.
• Collaborate with tax, assurance, accounting, and advisory teams to service clients.
• Stay current on technical and industry developments and assess impacts on client positions.

In addition to the base compensation, Withum offers a competitive benefits package and bonus program (for eligible roles) based on individual and firm performance.
