CU*Answers in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead the accounting team and support financial operations across CU*Answers and affiliated organizations.

You will coach staff, oversee general ledger, AP/AR, inventory, cash management, and month-end close, while partnering with leadership on budgeting and process improvements. A strong candidate will drive accuracy, compliance, and continuous improvement in a cooperative culture.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent experience.
  • 3-5 years progressive accounting experience.
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office; GP or Business Central experience is a plus.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support the day-to-day operations of the Accounting team.
