Job summary

Judge Direct Placement is seeking an Accounting Manager for the Grand Island, NE area. You will lead cost and general accounting, close processes, and variance analysis in a manufacturing setting. Collaborate with operations on cost modeling and budgeting to drive cost reduction and performance improvements.

You will mentor staff, support internal/external audits, and optimize ERP-based reporting and controls while communicating results to leadership and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 7–10 years of manufacturing accounting experience required.
• Experience working within an ERP environment required.
• Strong cost accounting, budgeting, and financial analysis skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Manage cost accounting, inventory, product costing, and variance analysis.
• Partner with operations to improve manufacturing performance via cost analysis.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, ROI/NPV analyses.

Judge Direct Placement is seeking an Accounting Manager in Grand Island, NE area!

Responsibilities:

• Lead all aspects of cost accounting and general accounting activities, including month-end close, journal entries, account reconciliations, financial reporting, inventory accounting, product costing, and variance analysis in compliance with U.S. GAAP, SOX, and internal control requirements.
• Partner with operations and supply chain teams to improve manufacturing performance through cost analysis, inventory management, make-versus-buy evaluations, cost modeling, and continuous improvement initiatives focused on operational efficiency and cost reduction.
• Support business planning and decision-making by leading budgeting, forecasting, scenario modeling, profitability analysis, business risk assessments, and capital investment evaluations, including ROI and NPV analyses.
• Serve as a key financial systems leader by optimizing ERP, reporting, and business intelligence tools, driving process automation, improving data integrity, standardizing processes, and enhancing financial reporting capabilities.
• Lead, mentor, and develop accounting staff while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Partner closely with business leaders to communicate financial results, performance drivers, and strategic recommendations that support organizational objectives.
• Support internal and external audit activities and ensure the timely delivery of accurate financial information to divisional leadership and corporate stakeholders.

Requirements:
