Job summary

Responsibilities

• Managing all finance and accounting operations, including AR, GL, and cost accounting.
• Coordinate, support, manage, and direct month-end closing activities with timely financial submission.
• Assist in preparing financial forecasts and reporting variances.
• Knowledge in percentage of completion revenue recognition.
• Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements.
• Support month-end and year-end close process.
• Ensure quality control over financial transactions and reporting.
• Develop and document accounting policies to strengthen internal controls.
• Manage the company's financial reporting system and balance sheet integrity.
• Provide support for the annual audit and research technical accounting issues.
• Manage, mentor, and train accounting staff.

Description: Accounting Manager

OVERVIEW

We are looking for an experienced Accountant. This role is responsible for General Ledger month-end closing processes, corporate accounting, and regulatory and financial reporting; ensuring the accuracy of accounting records; ensuring reported results comply with accounting principles and standards; and developing internal control policies and procedures. Simplify and streamline processes.

Responsibilities:

• Managing all financeand accounting operations, including AR, GL accounting, and cost accounting
• Coordinate, support, manage, and direct the preparation of month-end closing activities to ensure financials are submitted to corporate in a timely and accurate manner.
• Assist in the preparation of financial forecasts and report variances
• Knowledge in percentage of completion revenue recognition
• Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements
• Support month-end and year-end close process
• Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
• Manage the company's financial reporting system, generate monthly financial statements and ensure the integrity of the balance sheet
• Provide support for the annual audit
• Research technical accounting issues for compliance
• Manage, mentor, and train employees

Education and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
• 8+ years of related experience (Project based accounting experience considered an asset).
• Excellent Microsoft Excel skills; working with large datasets from multiple systems.
• Strong analytical background; results driven.
• Strong verbal, written and presentation skills.
• Proven ability to prioritize activities and manage workload in a complex, fast-paced environment with strict deadlines.
• Well-developed critical thinking and strong problem-solving skills.

Ability to collaborate effectively with senior management and business operations personnel.
