Everglades Boats is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning in a manufacturing setting in Edgewater, FL. The role focuses on forward-looking analysis, cost and inventory management, forecasting, and turning data into actionable business insights.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in accounting/FP&A with manufacturing exposure, strong Excel and BI automation skills, and a background in cost accounting and leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; Master's degree preferred.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in accounting, FP&A, financial analysis, cost accounting, or related role.
• Manufacturing experience strongly preferred, including inventory, BOMs, standard costing, and variances.
• Strong understanding of financial statements and accounting principles.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and management reporting.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience with automation such as Power BI dashboards or AI modeling.
• Prior supervisory or team leadership experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning, including P&L forecasts, cash flow projections, working capital analysis, and departmental budgets.
• Develop financial models, scenario analysis, and business cases to support strategic and operational decisions.
• Manage and develop the Financial Analyst role, including establishing priorities and reviewing financial analysis and reporting.
• Manage annual setting of model year pricing and standards to ensure continued profitability.
• Publish dealer inventory status with corresponding retail to track metrics and identify trends.
• Partner with Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, and other departments to improve cost visibility, productivity, and profitability.
• Analyze product costs, bills of material, inventory, labor, and manufacturing data to identify trends and cost-reduction opportunities.
• Provide sales, product, customer, and margin analysis to support business planning and decision-making.
• Develop dashboards, KPIs, and recurring management reporting for the CFO and leadership team.
• Partner with the Controller during month-end and year-end processes to ensure management reporting aligns with financial results.
• Support implementation and continuous improvement of ERP, financial reporting, and business intelligence systems.
• Perform special projects and additional financial analysis as requested by the CFO.

Accounting Manager

Position Summary

The Accounting Manager is a key member of the Finance team responsible for financial analysis, budgeting and forecasting, manufacturing cost accounting, and business decision support. Reporting directly to the CFO, this position works alongside the Controller as a separate but collaborative finance leadership role and directly manages the Financial Analyst.

While the Controller maintains primary responsibility for accounting operations, financial reporting, internal controls, and the close process, the Accounting Manager focuses on forward-looking analysis, cost and inventory management, forecasting, and translating financial and operational data into actionable business insights.

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience with automation such as Power BI dashboards or AI modeling that drive actionable insights, operational efficiency and predictive analytics.
• Experience with financial reporting systems (Preferred experience with SAGE).
• Prior supervisory or team leadership experience preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to partner effectively across all levels of the organization.

Physical Requirements

Regularly communicates verbally and in writing and operates a computer, phone, and other office equipment. Regularly required to sit and occasionally stand, walk, or move throughout the office and manufacturing facility. Occasionally must lift and/or move up to 35 pounds. Appropriate PPE is required when entering designated production areas.

Most duties are performed in an office environment; however, this position will periodically work within manufacturing areas. Production areas may include exposure to fumes, airborne particles, moving mechanical equipment, moderate to loud noise, and non-climate-controlled conditions.
