ACCOUNTING MANAGER

Direct-hire with our client in Erie, PA.

Work Environment: Remote with ability to travel as needed.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manages the consolidation of all financial data for accounting of consolidated business results
• Maintains the general ledger and all related accounts; reviews entries to the general and sub-ledgers for accuracy and compliance
• Manages and maintains a monthly accounting close process, preparing financial statements timely and presenting to management.
• Develop forecasts and analyze actual results, presenting performance updates to management
• Oversee customer invoicing and manage the collections process
• Assist CFO with daily treasury and cash management functions
• Provide financial analysis for capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations
• Handle insurance policy annual renewals for the organization
• Coordinate with external auditors for the annual review
• Identifies areas for improvement and implements change within the organization
• Other projects and duties as assigned

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
• Advanced Degree or Certification is a plus
• 10+ years of accounting/finance experience
• 5+ years of supervisory experience
• Demonstrated experience in the oil and gas industry
• Demonstrated knowledge of US GAAP
• Advanced Excel user, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, and other complex functions
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to prioritize work with competing deadlines and meet those deadlines
• Ability to manage and provide feedback to direct reports
• Strong communication skills both written and verbal
