Job summary

Victra - Verizon Authorized Retailer is seeking an Accounting Manager – Inventory & Non-Current Assets to lead day-to-day accounting across high-risk balance sheet areas, including inventory, fixed assets, CIP, and ROU lease assets. You will ensure US GAAP compliance, rigorous close management, and cross-functional collaboration with Operations, Supply Chain, and FP&A.

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field required.

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with inventory and fixed asset focus.

• Prior leadership experience including offshore/shared services teams.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP and internal control frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end inventory accounting including capitalization, reserves, adjustments, and period-end valuation.
• Oversee accounting for fixed assets and construction-in-progress (CIP).
• Manage operating and finance leases, including ROU assets and lease liabilities per ASC 842.
• Lead month, quarter, and year-end close across inventory, fixed assets, and lease schedules.

Job Description

The Accounting Manager – Inventory & Non-Current Assets plays a key execution role within the corporate accounting function. In this role, you will manage day-to-day accounting operations across high-risk balance sheet areas, including inventory, fixed assets, construction-in-progress (CIP), and right-of-use (ROU) lease assets. This role contributes to the Company’s financial execution, compliance, and audit readiness under U.S. GAAP through rigorous close management, key account ownership, and cross-functional leadership. The role operates within established internal controls and policies set by accounting leadership, applies US GAAP to assigned technical areas, and partners with peers across Operations, Supply Chain, and FP&A to deliver accurate, timely, and well-documented results. We are looking for a disciplined, detail-oriented professional with a strong ownership mindset and a pragmatic approach to operational accounting.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting Operations

• Own end-to-end inventory accounting across the full lifecycle, including capitalization, reserves, adjustments, write-offs, obsolescence, and period-end valuation.
• Oversee accounting for fixed assets and construction-in-progress (CIP), including capitalization, depreciation, transfers, impairments, and disposals.
• Own accounting operations for operating and finance leases, including ROU assets, lease liabilities, amortization, remeasurements, and modifications in accordance with US GAAP (ASC 842).
• Review and approve detailed account reconciliations, subledger-to-general ledger rollforwards, and schedule tie-outs to ensure audit readiness and resolve reconciling items promptly.
• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities across inventory, fixed assets, and lease schedules to consistently meet tight reporting deadlines.

Technical Accounting & Controls

• Maintain and document accounting policies, technical guidance, and internal review controls across assigned asset classes.
• Design, execute, and operate key internal controls to safeguard company assets, mitigate risk, and ensure accurate financial presentation.
• Address complex and judgmental accounting matters with strong technical documentation, supporting review controls, and period-over-period consistency.
• Identify control gaps, subledger complexities, or recurring operational issues and drive sustainable remediation solutions.

Stakeholder Partnership & Audit Support

• Serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors for inventory, fixed asset, and lease scope areas.
• Prepare comprehensive PBC packages, pull audit samples, and respond directly to audit inquiries with clear documentation.
• Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Supply Chain, and FP&A on capital spend tracking, cutoff alignment, inventory movements, and forecasting support.

Team Leadership & Development

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 1–2 offshore accounting resources, providing clear context, review, and coaching.
• Delegate work thoughtfully — establishing clear expectations, driving standardization in deliverables, and supporting team growth and scalability.
• Provide regular performance feedback and maintain high standards for accuracy, timeliness, and documentation.

Required

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related business field
• CPA or equivalent certification preferred
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with specialized expertise in inventory and fixed asset accounting
• Direct, hands‑on experience with lease accounting (ASC 842) / ROU assets
• Prior leadership experience, including managing offshore or shared services accounting teams
• Strong understanding of US GAAP principles and internal control frameworks
• Hands‑on proficiency with major ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, NetSuite) with subledger complexity

• Experience operating in complex supply chains, retail, or inventory-heavy operating environments
• Experience managing cross-functional workflows with FP&A and Operations teams
• Strong problem-solving abilities with a focus on fixing foundational processes before optimizing
