Job summary

FIT Technologies LLC, headquartered in Cleveland, OH, is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee accounting and analysis for the company. This highly visible role ensures timely financial information within an internal control framework and supports cross-functional teams and the executive leadership.

The ideal candidate has strong GAAP knowledge, CPA preferred, and hands-on experience managing monthly, quarterly and annual reporting, revenue recognition, and ERP administration

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
• 5-7 years accounting experience, including at least 2 years public accounting.
• CPA strongly preferred.
• High proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Power Point and Outlook).
• Ability to communicate clearly in writing and verbally.
• Ability to analyze processes and implement improvements.

Responsibilities

• Work with cross departmental teams to determine the correct accounting for activities.
• Continually improve internal control environment and ensure controls function as expected.
• Create and maintain documentation for accounting processes.
• Collaborate with purchasing to manage transactions with accounting impact.
• Ensure invoices are produced and revenue recognized per contracts and GAAP.
• Serve as NetSuite ERP system administrator.
• Interact with business ops to align needs with management areas.
• Prepare and maintain documentation for transactions.
• Analyze financial information to recommend efficient resource use and procedures.
• Develop reports analyzing monthly/quarterly/annual revenues, margins and expenses.
• Resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities.
• Investigate variances from prior periods and expectations.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports for management.
• Maintain knowledge of GAAP practices and procedures.
• Manage annual financial reporting and review.
• Participate in various special projects as needed.

Accounting Manager

Summary

The successful candidate in this Accounting Manager role will be responsible for certain accounting and analysis for the Company. This highly visible role oversees and maintains processes to produce timely financial information in an internal control environment that protects company property and minimizes risk. The Accounting Manager provides support to others within the department, the executive team, and cross functionally as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Work with cross departmental teams to problem solve and determine the correct accounting for the Company’s activities.
• Continually improve the Company’s internal control environment and ensure that internal controls function as expected.
• Create and maintain documentation for accounting processes.
• Work with the purchasing department to establish processes and manage unusual transactions in areas that have an accounting impact.
• Ensure that the Company produces invoices and recognizes revenue according to the applicable contracts and GAAP.
• Serve as system administrator of NetSuite, the Company’s ERP system.
• Interact with business operations to understand their needs and make sure this role’s areas of management are meeting those needs.
• Prepare and maintain documentation for business and accounting transactions.
• Analyze financial information to recommend or develop efficient use of resources and procedures, provide strategic recommendations, and develop solutions to business and financial problems.
• Develop reports to analyze monthly/quarterly/annual revenues, margins and expenses.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
• 5-7 years of accounting experience, including at least 2 years of public accounting
• CPA strongly preferred
• High proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Power Point and Outlook).

• Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing in a clear and concise manner.

Working Conditions + Physical Requirements

This position primarily operates in a professional office environment. Regular, in-person attendance at FIT Technologies Headquarters during standard business hours is required to perform the essential function of this role. The position requires prolonged periods of sitting, working at a computer, and participating in in-person meetings. Specific scheduling expectations will be determined by leadership based on business needs. Occasional evening and weekend work to support meetings, events, or deadlines, occasional work weeks of more than 40 hours.
