Job summary

CFS is seeking an Accounting Manager in Wisconsin to lead the day-to-day accounting operations and partner with leadership on financial information and strategic decisions. This hands-on role focuses on improving processes, reporting, and the overall accounting function within a growing construction-focused company.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, a strong GAAP background, and a track record of leading close processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (MBA or CPA welcomed).
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally within a construction environment.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, month-end close, reconciliations, and general ledger accounting, with leadership skills to manage and improve an accounting function.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger activity, reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end/year-end close.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements and management reports while ensuring accurate and timely financial information.
• Oversee accounting processes related to operations, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and other key areas.
• Partner with leadership and operational teams to analyze financial results, identify trends, and support business decisions.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, systems, controls, and reporting while taking ownership of special projects and initiatives.
