KMK Law is in search of an Accounting Manager to join our Accounting and Finance Team. This billing and reporting role is responsible for managing the e-billing processes across various platforms while ensuring timely and accurate financial and operational reporting to support business operations. This role is fully on-site.

Job Responsibilities:

• Manage the Firm’s e-billing process across multiple client billing portals (e.g., CounselLink, Legal Tracker, Tymetrix, etc.).
• Upload invoices, resolve rejections, and ensure adherence to client billing guidelines.
• Collaborate with attorneys, billing partners, and clients to troubleshoot and resolve e-billing issues.
• Maintain client-specific billing requirements, rate structures, and guidelines.
• Serve as the internal subject matter expert on the Firm’s time and billing platforms and integrations.

Financial and Operational Reporting:

• Prepare reports and financial analyses for practice group leaders, attorneys, and staff utilizing the accounting system, report writing tools, and Microsoft Excel.
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting initiatives including management reporting, reconciliations, FTE analysis, etc.
• Assist various departments with completing surveys.
• Perform ad hoc reporting projects and analyses as requested, managing projects from beginning to end to ensure successful and timely completion.
• Support budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Assist in internal and external audits by providing necessary reporting, financial documentation, and analysis.
• Other job-related tasks and projects as assigned.

Key Qualifications:

• Bachelors’ degree and 5+ years of related work experience.
• Expertise and in-depth knowledge of all aspects of time and billing systems and reporting.
• Experience working with and writing complex database queries.
• Experience in extracting and reporting data using SQL and Business Intelligence tools.
• Demonstrated expertise with Microsoft Excel, pivot tables, advanced formulas, and data filtering.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Strong customer service orientation with high level of written, verbal, comprehension, and communication skills.
• Excellent organization and detailed-oriented project management skills.
