Job summary

Volunteers of America Delaware Valley is seeking an Accounting Manager to support the Controller and oversee the accounting team. Accounting Manager (CV940-147) - Finance Division
Salary - $80,000.00/Yr to $90,000.00/Yr, together with benefits package.

The employee in this classification shall report to the Controller. The responsibilities are professional in function. The employee is part of the Accounting Department and shall be responsible for assisting the Controller in the daily activities of the department. The employee will participate in all aspects of accounting for the GL function, AR function, AP function and other as assigned duties. The employee will directly supervise the payroll function and the payroll coordinator. The employee will also be responsible for the accounting of all subsidized housing and rental calculations in accordance with HUD regulations. Candidate must have a thorough knowledge of GAAP.

Credentials/Abilities:
The employee in this position must have a Bachelors degree in Accounting and five years of experience and supervisory experience required. Ability to communicate effectively, to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships. Working knowledge of personal computers, MS Office and accounting software. Knowledge of GAAP, principles of financial administration, including budgeting and reporting. Ability to prepare a variety of financial statements and reports and to perform financial analyses.Knowledge of Great Plains and Ultimate Software is preferred, but not required.
