Job summary

Cox Consulting Network has been exclusively retained by an acquisitive, PE-owned medical management company for an Accounting Manager in a hybrid Austin position. You will support month-end close, GAAP compliance, and system enhancements while collaborating with the Controller across multi-site healthcare operations.

The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, CPA or CPA candidacy, and hands-on experience with NetSuite and ERP implementations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• CPA or CPA candidate
• Technical accounting research is a huge plus
• Acquisition and/or system implementation experience is a huge plus
• 5 years’ experience with increasing levels of responsibility
• 2 years’ supervisory experience is a huge plus
• Experience supporting a system implementation or integration
• Experience creating and maintaining new accounting processes
• Experience using NetSuite is preferred
• Bill.com experience is a huge plus

Responsibilities

• Preparing and/or reviewing appropriate ledger entries and reconciliations
• Maintaining general ledger accounts and processes in NetSuite
• Supporting month end close
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, ASC 842 (leases), and ASC 606 (revenue recognition).
• Preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements; assisting with regulatory reporting as applicable
• Researching accounting issues for compliance
• Coordinating the accounting integration of acquired companies
• Identifying the need for and hiring new accounting staff
• Supervising and supporting the senior accountant and AP manager

Cox Consulting Network has been exclusively retained by an acquisitive, PE-owned, medical management company in its search for an Accounting Manager.

The position is hybrid in Austin with ~1 day/week in-office after a brief training period.

The Accounting Manager a key member of the team and will support the Controller for month-end close activities, system implementations/enhancements and operational accounting. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, a self-starter, has multi-site healthcare provider experience and has a strong working knowledge of US GAAP. The company is growing, and you can grow with it!
