Base pay range

$100,000.00/yr - $125,000.00/yr

Accountants One has a repeat client looking for an Accounting Manager to work in Atlanta, GA, near Spaghetti Junction. It is 95% in the office. This person will report to the Controller.

• Prepare monthly profit and loss (P&L) analysis to ensure financial statement accuracy and completeness.
• Perform monthly reconciliations of general ledger accounts with detailed transaction analysis.
• Create and post journal entries; conduct thorough account analysis.
• Maintain and manage the monthly close calendar to meet internal and external deadlines.
• Prepare various internal and external accounting reports.
• Responsible for fixed asset accounting and lease accounting.
• Research and interpret accounting and financial data, providing clear explanations as needed.
• Automate recurring accounting, reporting, and reconciliation processes.
• Lead or support enhancements and automation within accounting systems.
• Contribute to system conversions, process improvements, and special accounting projects.
• Support the implementation and maintenance of internal control frameworks.
• Assist in the enhancement of accounting policies, procedures, and operational strategies.
• Review and implement system/process changes to strengthen internal controls.
• Prepare audit documentation and support external auditors as required.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
• Collaborate with Treasury and FP&A teams on cash flow and business forecasting.
• Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual state business returns, registrations, and surveys.
• Manage and facilitate capital expenditure requests and related documentation.

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
• Minimum of three (3) years of month-end close and accounting experience.
• Adage or similar ERP experience required.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel experience is required
• Power BI experience preferred.
• Will conduct background checks and drug tests
