Job summary

GALT Aerospace is seeking a full-time Accounting Lead in San Diego, with hybrid work options, to support critical accounting operations during an ERP implementation. You will lead month-end close, AP, payroll, cost tracking, and labor allocations while ensuring GAAP and DCAA compliance.

You will work with the Controller, Senior Financial Systems Accountant, and AP Manager to optimize processes and support budgeting, reporting, and audits. US citizenship is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required.
• 7+ years of accounting experience.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• US citizenship required.
• Experience with government contracts (CPFF/FFP/T&M).
• FAR, CAS, and DCAA compliance knowledge.
• Knowledge of WAWF/DFAS payment processes.
• GAAP proficiency and strong attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Support month-end closing with journal entries and reconciliations.
• Process accounts payable and credit card transactions.
• Generate and submit customer invoices.
• Oversee payroll transactions and journal entries.
• Assist with annual budgeting and indirect cost analysis.
• Support CPA reviews, DCAA audits, and GAAP compliance.
