Job summary

Axos Bank is offering a 12-week Summer Internship Program designed to provide hands-on experience in accounting within a technology-driven financial environment. The Accounting Intern will support investor reporting, procedures, ACH returns, and other clerical tasks while participating in capstone projects and leadership sessions.

The role emphasizes learning SOX, assisting with journal entries, and helping prepare financial reporting under U.S.

Qualifications

• Gain exposure to SOX documentation and maintain a documented system of accounting policies, procedures and process documents.
• Prepare periodic, month-end, and quarter-end journal entries, execute the month-end close process and perform month-end reconciliations for general ledger accounts.

Responsibilities

• Gain exposure to and assist in the preparation of financial reporting schedules to U.S. GAAP standards to populate U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and Federal Regulator filings.
• Prepare support for independent public accounting auditors, federal regulators and internal auditors.
• Improve efficiency through implementation of reports that minimize manual reporting processes and manual reconciliations, organization and coordination processes.
