Job summary

West Bend Mutual Insurance Company in West Bend, WI is offering a Summer 2027 Accounting Internship. You will gain hands-on experience with account reconciliations, journal entries, financial analysis, and quarterly reporting, supporting internal and external audits.

Work location is in-office in West Bend; internship runs May through August, full-time 40 hours/week. Ideal candidates are pursuing an Accounting degree with GPA 3.5+, strong Excel skills, and an interest in automation and analytics

Qualifications

Pursuing a Bachelor's degree majoring in Accounting (Graduating Winter 2027 or Spring 2028)
GPA of 3.5 or higher
Interest in leveraging technology, automation, and AI tools to improve accounting and financial processes
Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word), required
Advanced Excel skills (Power Query, PivotTables, data analysis techniques) preferred

Responsibilities

Data entry, general account reconciliations and journal entries
Financial Analysis
Quarterly Reporting
Providing support for internal/external audits
Assist with data analysis, reporting automation, and process improvement initiatives using digital accounting and analytics tools
