Job summary

Fervo Energy is offering an Accounting Intern position for a 12-week summer program. You'll support core accounting operations, from month-end close activities to audit support, and work closely with the Accounting team to keep financial reporting accurate and scalable.

You’ll present your work to executive leadership and fellow interns, gain hands-on exposure to technical accounting research, reconciliations, and journal entries, and develop a foundation for opportunities after the internship.

Description

You won't be running coffee orders or shuffling paperwork this summer. You'll work side-by-side with the teams building the next generation of geothermal energy, tackling problems that genuinely move the business forward. At the end of the summer, you'll present your work to our executive leadership team, department leads, and fellow interns, sharing real results with a real audience. Position Description

Fervo Energy is developing next-generation geothermal power to deliver firm, carbon-free energy at scale, anchored by our flagship Cape Station development in Milford, Utah. As an Accounting Intern, you'll support core accounting operations, from close activities to audit support, while our team works to accelerate Fervo's accounting organization into an AI-first finance function.

You’ll gain hands-on exposure to how a fast-growing energy company manages its books, working closely with the Accounting team to keep our financial reporting accurate and scalable.

Responsibilities

Required Qualifications

• Rising Junior, Senior, Master's/MBA candidate wrapping up within the next year, or PhD candidate — we're building a pipeline toward full-time offers
• Pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, MIS, Computer Science, or Data Analytics
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including comfort presenting to stakeholders and leadership
• Eagerness to learn, take initiative, and adapt quickly to new challenges
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
