Job summary

Fervo Energy offers a Finance Internship at Cape Station in Milford, Utah, where you will work on a real project scoped with your manager from day one. You will build financial models, support budgeting and forecasting, and gain exposure to how a fast-growing energy company plans its next phase of growth.

Throughout the internship, you will collaborate with the Finance team and other departments, culminating in a formal presentation to executive leadership and fellow interns.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Master's degree or MBA; this role is not open to undergraduate or PhD candidates.
• Pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field
• Strong written and verbal communication, including comfort presenting to stakeholders and leadership
• Advanced proficiency in Excel (financial modeling, three-statement models, sensitivity analysis) and PowerPoint; prior experience in investment banking, corporate finance, private equity, management consulting, or a related field is a plus

• Support financial planning and analysis (FP&A), including budgeting and forecasting
• Assist with capital markets activities, including investor materials

Internship Overview

You won't be running coffee orders or shuffling paperwork this summer. At Fervo, interns are handed something real: a project of your own, scoped with your manager on day one and yours to drive for the full 12 weeks. You'll work side-by-side with the teams building the next generation of geothermal energy, tackling problems that genuinely move the business forward. At the end of the summer, you'll present your work to our executive leadership team, department leads, and fellow interns, sharing real results with a real audience. Position Description

Fervo Energy is developing next-generation geothermal power to deliver firm, carbon-free energy at scale, anchored by our flagship Cape Station facility in Milford, Utah, one of the largest next-generation geothermal developments in the world. As a Finance Intern, you'll support Fervo's Finance team across Corporate Finance and Corporate Development work that helps guide the company's growth.

You'll build financial models, support budgeting and forecasting, and gain exposure to how a fast-growing energy company plans and finances its next phase of growth.
