Job summary

Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Mississippi is offering a 10-12 week Accounting and Internal Audit Internship in Flowood, MS. The program rotates between Accounting Operations, Financial Reporting and Treasury, providing hands-on exposure to financial controls and risk management.

You will assist in vendor contract reviews, budget variance analysis, GAAP entries, and daily cash flow analyses under supervision. Candidates must be pursuing a bachelor’s degree with junior standing and a GPA of 3.25 or

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree with at least junior standing by Spring 2027.
• GPA of 3.25 or higher required.
• Strong PC skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Assist in Accounting Operations, Financial Reporting and Treasury rotations.
• Review and analyze vendor contracts and proposals in Accounts Payable.
• Participate in budget variance analysis and monthly close activities.
