Altec in Birmingham, Alabama is seeking Accounting Interns for Summer 2027. This paid internship offers hands-on experience, mentorship, and collaboration with accounting professionals in a growth‑oriented environment.

Interns will work on financial, cost, lease and rental accounting, with opportunities for meaningful project work and professional development. Housing stipends are available for eligible interns based on guidelines.

Qualifications

• Be available to work approximately 40 hours per week from mid-May through August 2026.
• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting at an accredited four-year college or university.
• Have completed at least their sophomore year by Summer 2026.
• Demonstrate strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, with Excel experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to financial accounting tasks across multiple accounting teams.
• Assist with cost, lease, and rental accounting activities.
• Participate in financial analysis and reporting activities.
• Collaborate with accounting professionals on meaningful projects.
