Job summary

Charles Schwab's Accounting Internship Program offers students the chance to develop foundational experience within Schwab's Finance organization. Interns will support one of two tracks—Controllers, Bank Regulatory Reporting, SEC Reporting & Accounting Policy or SOX Cash Accounting—and gain exposure to external disclosures and regulatory reporting.

Qualifications

Current student pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Interest in accounting, accounting policy, financial reporting, regulatory reporting, or corporate finance.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate financial information and draw logical conclusions.
Attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate, well-documented work.
Ability to manage multiple assignments, meet deadlines, and incorporate feedback effectively.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including Excel and PowerPoint

Responsibilities

Support one of two internship tracks: Controllers, Bank Regulatory Reporting, SEC Reporting & Accounting Policy or SOX Cash Accounting.
Assist with preparing and reviewing audited financial statements, SEC filings, and bank regulatory reports.
Develop executive-ready materials and participate in initiatives to improve reporting processes.
Collaborate with Finance teams to ensure reporting integrity and regulatory compliance.
