Job summary

Compeer Financial invites applications for an Intern Accounting role located in Mankato, MN. The intern will support patronage accounting, internal and external reporting, and client service related to the patronage program.

We seek students pursuing an Accounting or Finance degree with 1-2 years of relevant experience and strong Excel/Word/Access skills. This paid internship runs full-time through summer 2027, with part-time hours during the school year.

Qualifications

• Working towards an Accounting or Finance degree with 1-2 years of experience.
• Strong working knowledge of Excel, Word and Access.
• Solid organizational, interpersonal, communication, problem solving skills and time management.
• Must be detail-oriented with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Patronage: balance estates, transfers, retirements, outstanding checks, and general ledger balancing.
• Provide high quality service to internal and external clients regarding the patronage program.
• Support reporting duties for internal, regulatory and external needs related to patronage.
