Job summary

Compeer Financial is offering a paid Finance Intern opportunity in Mankato, MN. The role supports the Finance team with budgeting, reporting, data analytics, and BI tasks, including maintaining Power BI dashboards and collaborating with cross‑functional partners.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting/Business Analytics or Economics with 1–2 years of coursework, strong analytical and communication skills, and experience with Excel and BI tools.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree with 1–2 years of coursework completed.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
• Ability to organize and analyze data accurately and with attention to detail.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Willingness to learn new technologies and concepts.
• Ability to work independently and with others in a team.
• Experience with Power BI or other BI tools is preferred.
• Exposure to budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis or reporting concepts.

Responsibilities

• Support finance team with budgeting, reporting and analytics tasks.
• Maintain and refresh Power BI reports and dashboards for stakeholders.
• Assist in pricing processes, data review and reporting.
• Support monthly management reporting, data collection and analysis.
• Research and pilot AI use cases to improve finance processes.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional partners on departmental objectives.
• Contribute to process improvements and special projects as needed.
• Assist with financial analysis and operational planning activities.
