Job summary

Myers & Stauffer is seeking an on-site intern in Owings Mills, MD to assist on accounting projects and gain practical experience across our services. You will collaborate with professionals, respond to inquiries, and contribute to project outcomes while maintaining a professional demeanor.

The role requires pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in accounting or related field, a 40-hour workweek, and a Monday–Friday schedule. Potential to transition to full-time after graduation is noted.

Qualifications

• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.25
• Active participation in student organizations and work experience
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Well organized with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• Effectively multi-task with planning and efficiency
• Manage multiple deadlines and prioritize assignments
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Proficient use of applicable software programs, including Microsoft Office suite

Responsibilities

• Perform all aspects of a project or work in progress and apply knowledge gained to future projects
• Possess and apply a solid understanding of the work environment; be punctual
• Develop a general understanding of Myers and Stauffer services
• Respond to all inquiries and requests
• Strive to attain goals established by direct supervisors
• Positive attitude toward self, other professionals, clients, and Myers and Stauffer
• Ability to gain computer proficiency relative to administrative programs, spreadsheets, word processing, and internet research
• Professional in appearance and manner
• Additional responsibilities as assigned
• This position could have the potential to become a direct hire in a full-time position after graduation
