Howden Group seeks an Accounting Intern to join our Corporate Accounting team in Dallas, TX for a summer internship. Start: June 7, 2026; End: August 20, 2026. Reports to AVP, Corporate Accounting.

In‑Office role with 0–10% travel. You will gain hands-on experience in general ledger, accounts payable, and journal entries while supporting month-end close and process improvements. You’ll work in a professional environment at a growing underwriting organization, developing practical accounting

Competenze

• Familiar with core accounting principles including debits/credits and accrual accounting.
• Able to communicate clearly and build positive working relationships.

Mansioni

• Assist in preparing routine journal entries and practice applying accounting principles.
• Support month-end activities including reconciling balance sheet accounts and reviewing financial records for accuracy.
• Track accruals and prepaid expenses as part of the monthly cycle.
• Review and code vendor invoices to support timely processing.
• Assist with payments and ensure correct recording of incoming funds.
• Prepare bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Organize accounting records with supporting documentation.
• Document accounting processes and suggest improvements for day-to-day tasks.
• Assist audit activities by gathering and organizing requested information.
