Job summary

Myers & Stauffer LC is seeking a motivated intern pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's in accounting or related field to support audit, data management and client service activities. This role offers exposure to government-sponsored programs and a path toward full-time employment after graduation.

You will perform project tasks, develop understanding of services, and gain proficiency with office software while collaborating with a professional team in a supportive, flexible environment.

Qualifications

• Intern must be working toward a Bachelor's or Master's degree in accounting or related field.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.25.
• Active participation in student organizations and work experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Well organized with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Effectively multi-task with planning and efficiency.
• Manage multiple deadlines and prioritize assignments.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Proficient use of Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Perform all aspects of a project or work in progress and apply knowledge gained to future projects.
• Possess and apply a solid understanding of the work environment; be punctual.
• Develop a general understanding of Myers and Stauffer services.
• Respond to all inquiries and requests.
• Strive to attain goals established by direct supervisors.
• Positive attitude toward self, other professionals, clients, and Myers and Stauffer.
• Ability to gain computer proficiency relative to administrative programs, spreadsheets, word processing, and internet research.
• Professional in appearance and manner.
• Additional responsibilities as assigned.
• This position could have the potential to become a direct hire in a full-time position after graduation.
