Job summary

Lange Company in Wichita, KS is seeking an Accounting Intern to assist with accounts receivable, accounts payable and month-end close tasks. You will work with the Finance team on financial reporting, audits and tax preparation while gaining hands-on accounting experience.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a degree in Accounting/Finance, have strong MS Office skills, and show attention to detail. Preference given to those with SAGE experience. This is an on-site internship at our Wichita office.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration.
• Basic understanding of and ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
• Proficient with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) with intermediate skills in Excel.
• Strong organization skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Assists with research, filing, and data entry to maintaining accurate and complete financial records.
• Assists in month-end closing processes, ensuring transactions are in accordance with GAAP.
• Prepares assigned reconciliations and reporting.
• Assists with the accounts payable and receivable functions, as necessary.
• Assists with audit and tax activities.
