Job summary

LANGE is seeking an Accounting Intern to support the finance team in preparing financial records, handling reconciliations, and assisting with month-end close. The role provides exposure to GAAP-compliant accounting, audits, and tax activities in a real estate-related finance environment.

The intern will work closely with staff, gain hands-on experience with accounts payable/receivable, and use MS Office and Sage accounting tools.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration.
• Basic understanding of and ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
• Proficient with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) with intermediate skills in Excel.

Responsibilities

• Assists with research, filing, and data entry to maintain accurate and complete financial records.
• Assists in month-end closing processes, ensuring transactions are in accordance with GAAP.
• Prepares assigned reconciliations and reporting.
• Assists with the accounts payable and receivable functions, as necessary.
• Assists with audit and tax activities.
