Compass Corporate is offering a Financial & Technical Accounting Internship in Charlotte, NC for the May 17, 2027 – Aug 6, 2027 period (40 hours/week, Mon-Fri, 8 AM to 5 PM). The program provides hands-on experience within a global company’s North American headquarters and exposure to monthly close, acquisitions, fair value calculations, and IFRS audits.

Rising accounting majors with strong Excel skills and the ability to work independently will thrive in this collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Rising junior or above majoring in Accounting.
• Ability to work independently and possess strong problem solving skills.
• Detail oriented with strong analytical skills.
• Proficiency in Excel a must.

Responsibilities

• Assist in monthly accounting close process, which includes accounting entries and reconciliations for acquisitions related accounts.
• Assist in purchase accounting for acquired and divested entities.
• Calculate fair value of acquired intangible assets.
• Collect, document and track prepared by client (PBC) records for the annual IFRS audit.
• Research accounting standards to answer technical accounting queries.
• Maintain the Technical Accounting Database.
• Participate in planning and coordinating CPE courses.
