Job summary

Oshkosh AeroTech is seeking a motivated student intern in accounting/finance to support finance processes and reporting. You will help with inventory costing, month-end closes, and asset accounting, while reviewing statements and improving efficiency using Excel.

This role requires good communication and organizational skills, and the ability to work full-time in the summer and part-time during the school year. Office tasks include standard cost maintenance and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Student working toward a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field.
• Able to work full time (40 hours per week) throughout the summer and part-time throughout the school year.
• Strong ability to communicate effectively.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Basic Microsoft Excel, Access, and Word knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Assignment of tasks that support the business through finance processes.
• Support inventory closing processes and month-end reporting.
• Review vendor and customer statements and perform follow-up actions.
• Maintain accurate standard costs of inventory and assist in costing trucks.
• Assist with Fixed Asset accounting and various reports (Operations, Inventory Movement, Purchasing Variances).
• Create Excel files using business metric information and improve processes.
