Plains, a leading transportation and midstream company headquartered in Houston, invites motivated students to join its Accounting Internship program for a 3-month term starting May 17, 2027. You’ll gain hands-on experience in accounting and finance across multiple groups in downtown Houston.

As an intern, you’ll work with mentors and professionals, supporting data gathering, reporting, and process improvements while developing professional networks and preparing for a future in energy industry

Qualifications

Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or Accounting.
Strong Excel, Word, PowerPoint and SharePoint skills.
Analytical, creative, and entrepreneurial mindset; able to relocate to Houston for term.]
Pursuing an internship starting May 17, 2027 across Accounting groups.

Responsibilities

Assist senior team with ad-hoc and recurring projects gathering, consolidating, analyzing, and presenting data.
Assist in analyzing and developing Accounting initiatives to support Plains’ asset and commodity logistics business.
Create and update reports based on internal data and market data using Microsoft tools and SharePoint.
Develop efficient processes to analyze data for business decisions and improve workflows.
Attend internal meetings and present findings; complete assigned tasks and a final project.
