This position supports the accounting team with day-to-day accounting tasks while gaining hands‑on experience in non‑profit financial operations. This role assists financial recordkeeping, reconciliations, reporting, and data entry to help maintain accurate records and support compliance. This individual must be organized and detail‑oriented with experience in Excel and other Microsoft Office applications and have completed a minimum of intermediate accounting‑related coursework. The Accounting intern reports directly to the Accounting Manager and may assist with other duties as necessary. Reports to: Accounting Manager Supervises: N/A
Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesThis job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary. This is an on‑site and part‑time, non‑exempt hourly position. Days and hours of work are to be determined during business hours Monday - Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. This position regularly requires long hours and may include evening and weekend obligations.
