Job summary

Qualifications

• Teaching experience at a community college; using a learning management system to teach hybrid and distance education courses.
• Master’s degree in Accounting from an institution accredited by an accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education (UDDE) or CHEA or a related field with 18 graduate hours in both accounting and economics or business administration.
• Proficient in MS-Excel and Quickbooks preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plans and delivers accessible, quality instruction that enhances student learning and ensures students’ understanding of course outcomes.
• Instructs 15-22 contact hours each semester; prepares objectives, assessments, materials, grading standards, and attendance policies.
• Maintains office hours and responds to electronic communication in a timely manner.
• Maintains accurate records of attendance and grades; submits final reports on time.
• Provides accurate academic and career advisement; supports curriculum development and program planning.
• Mentors part-time instructors and participates in program and college-wide initiatives.
