Job summary

V2X Inc is seeking a Finance Intern to gain hands-on experience in the Aerospace and Defense sector, assisting with budgeting, cost reporting, and financial analyses under guidance from business leaders.

The program offers exposure to cross-functional teams across multiple offices in the United States and the chance to contribute to forecasting, journal entries, and profitability initiatives while learning SAP-based processes.

Qualifications

• Eligible candidate must be enrolled in an accredited college or university and have completed at least 60 semester hours in Accounting/Finance with CGPA 2.7+
• US Citizenship required due to government contracting/access to premises with national security requirements
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; strong interpersonal and communication skills; drive for customer satisfaction
• Must be able to follow directions, ask for clarification, and learn and adapt to new technologies

Responsibilities

• Assists with SAP project setup
• Prepares and analyzes cost reports and budgets
• Reviews projects for mischarging errors
• Prepares and submits Journal Entries to correct entries
• Assists in the preparation of financial forecasts
• Interacts with Program Managers to understand operational and financial performance of contracts
• Other projects and initiatives as assigned

Responsibilities

What You'll Do

• V2X’s intern program offers paid business positions to provide students with real work experience and exposure to the Aerospace and Defense industry. V2X is seeking students interested in gaining valuable experience in finance, financial planning and analysis, financial systems, and program finance at our offices in Madison, MS, Reston, VA, Orlando, FL and Greenville, SC.
• As a Finance intern, you will assist and have the opportunity to work cross‑functionally while working with teams and alongside business leaders. You will be responsible for completing day‑to‑day assignments and projects (as assigned). These projects provide opportunities to add value to the organization and may influence growth and financial profitability.

Key Responsibilities

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Education:
  • To be eligible, the candidate must be enrolled in an accredited college or university and must have completed at least 60 semester hours in Accounting/Finance related discipline. Must be in good academic standing and have a CGPA of 2.7 or higher.
• Other Requirements:
  • US Citizenship. As a Government Contractor, this position requires the employee to have access to premises which are, OR requires the employee to perform duties that are, subject to national security requirements of the United States under government contracts that impose US Citizenship requirements for such positions.
• Skills:
  • Must be proficient in MS Word, Excel, & PowerPoint.
  • The position requires strong interpersonal and communication skills as well as a drive for customer satisfaction.
  • The successful candidate must be able to follow directions, ask for clarification, demonstrate business aptitude, and solid analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • The candidate must have good written and verbal communication skills and must be able to learn and adapt to new technologies.

• The following salary range is intended to display the value of the company’s base pay compensation and may be modified at the discretion of the company.
  • USD $ 40,000 - 65,000
• Provided salary range minimum and maximum values correspond to variances between regional/geographic locations across the United States.
