Job summary

V2X Inc. is seeking a skilled aircraft maintenance professional in Pensacola, FL to perform maintenance and support functions on military aircraft.

The role requires hands-on experience with aircraft systems, adherence to safety and DoD regulations, and the ability to work in a dynamic, field-based environment. The candidate should have at least 3 years of relevant experience, be capable of reading blueprints and schematics, and be prepared to travel as needed.

Qualifications

• This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense (DoD) CAC (Commons Access Card).
• Minimum of three (3) years documented hands-on general experience in this aircraft maintenance field or military/commercial equivalent.
• Familiarity with aircraft systems, tools, drawings, schematics, and safety requirements.
• Must meet government/company licensing/qualification requirements for the position.
• FAA A&P license is desired.
• Must read/write/speak English.
• Weekend, other shifts, and overtime may be required.
• Some travel will be required.
• Adhere to company policies and confidentiality requirements.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid state driver’s license is required.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to all applicable Foreign Object Damage (FOD) prevention rules and regulations.
• Adhere to Company Tool Control Program.
• Comply with General and Industrial Safety Rules and Regulations for the contract, facilities, and job assignment.
• Ensure proper operation and use of special test equipment and Ground Support Equipment.
• Maintain records of all work accomplished.
• May perform simple computer input functions.
• May perform off-site service on assigned detachments.
• Perform corrosion control cleaning with proper safety precautions.
• Assist to ensure safety, security, and preservation of Government-owned and Company-owned equipment.
• Perform related incidental duties within the job classification.
• Maintain aircraft in accordance with Navy, Manufacturer, and Company Instructions.
• Read, interpret, and apply instructions from blueprints, schematics, and other approved data.
• Assist with ordering parts, tools, materials, and equipment as required.
• Document work on Maintenance Action Forms (MAF)/OOMA.
• Maintain cleanliness of the work center and area.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Responsible for adhering to all applicable Foreign Object Damage (FOD) prevention rules and regulations
• Responsible for adhering to Company Tool Control Program.

• Perform corrosion control cleaning and removal as required utilizing appropriate safety precautions.

• Assist when directed to ensure safety, security, and preservation of Government-owned and Company-owned equipment.
• Perform other reasonably related incidental duties when directed within the job classification.
• Maintain assigned aircraft in accordance with Navy, Manufacturer, and Company Instructions.
• Read, interpret, and apply instructions from Blueprints, schematics, and other approved data.
• Assist with ordering parts, tools, materials, and equipment as required.
• Document work accomplished on Maintenance Action Forms (MAF)/OOMA.
• Maintain cleanliness of the work center and around your assigned work area.

Physical Demands

Climbing, standing, stooping, bending, pushing, kneeling, stretching, extensive walking, lying down and working in tiring uncomfortable positions. May require lifting of objects whose weight normally will not exceed 50 pounds. May require the ability to work within confined spaces for extended periods of time. Special vision abilities required to perform this job are close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust and focus.

Work Environment

The diversity of work conditions may range from an environment where there is little or no physical discomfort, to an environment where inclement weather may subject individuals to severe changes of temperature, wind, rain, etc. May be required to work in areas where high noise hazards prevail. May be exposed to fumes or airborne particles. May be exposed to electrical shock hazards.

• Must be able to work weekends, other shifts and overtime as required.
