The role supports the preparation of financial statements, manages accounts payable, and assists with budget statements and grant management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field from an accredited college or university
  • Five (5) years of professional-level accounting experience
  • Certified Public Accountant licensure (preferred)
  • Experience working in a higher education environment

Responsibilities

  • Performs a variety of complex administrative functions related to accounting operations.
  • Assists with the preparation and review of Nashville State’s financial statements.
  • Manages accounts payable transactions.
  • Researches and resolves complex questions/issues regarding various accounting topics for the College.
  • Assists with the preparation and review of Nashville State’s budget statements, with day-to-day operations within the Bursar’s office, and with grant management, invoicing, and reconciliations.
