A leading company is seeking a Payroll Administrator who is skilled in handling payroll inquiries and resolving issues efficiently. The role involves collaborating with teams to ensure accurate payroll processing and adherence to laws, while offering excellent customer support. Ideal candidates will have experience in payroll administration and a degree in a relevant field. This position offers a hybrid work model after an initial on-site period.
Job Description: Initially, 100% on site and then 6 months goes to hybrid Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays on site., if desired. Looking for candidates that are interested in potentially going FTE.
What you're good at
• Responding promptly to escalated level 2 employee payroll inquiries and issues received by phone, email, or help request cases, further escalating to Payroll as needed
• Obtaining, researching, and evaluating information to handle payroll related inquiries
• Resolving problems, answering questions, providing/clarifying information, and coordinating with Payroll Processing and Payroll Strategy, as needed
• Supporting self-service and processing of pay impacting personnel data; conducts transactions and error corrections pre-payroll to ensure data is accurate and complete
• Directing more complex, unresolved issues to the appropriate Payroll or Tax Specialists; monitoring and expediting responses and resolution as needed
• Collaborating with Tier 1 Contact Center to assist with trend identification and education, as needed
• Reconciling/closing help request cases; recording details of inquiries, comments, complaints and resolutions
• Running and evaluating reports for payroll metrics and service quality tracking
• Preparing interoffice and external communication and correspondence; preparing and distributing envelopes to support correspondence
• Performing other duties and special projects as assigned
What you have
• 2-3 years of payroll administration experience
• Workday payroll experience preferred
• Knowledge and awareness of State and Federal payroll laws and regulations
• Outstanding customer service skills
• Consistently demonstrates a positive can-do, overcome-any barrier attitude
• High attention to quality and accuracy of work
• Ability to approach complex problems by breaking them down into components and finding effective solutions
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or related field is desired
• Proficient use of PC applications including MS Word and Excel; Access a plus
