ENGIE North America is seeking an Accounting Director, GBS, in Houston to lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensure accurate financial reporting, and drive internal control maturity.
You will mentor Accounting Managers and the Shared Services team, partner with FP&A and auditors, and implement finance transformation initiatives within ENGIE Group governance, complying with ICFR and SOX.
As an Accounting Director, GBS, you will play a critical leadership role in ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting for ENGIE North America entities within scope. This role balances operational excellence, people leadership, and governance while driving process standardization, internal control maturity, and finance transformation initiatives aligned with ENGIE Group and GBS strategy. The role requires partnership with business leaders and the ability to lead teams through change in a dynamic, regulated, and fast‑evolving energy environment. You will work closely with stakeholders to drive performance and impact results. You will manage the period‑end close process, ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, and coordinate tasks performed by the Accounting Shared Services Team (GBS). You will be responsible for delivering financial results for your business unit. With Accounting Managers as direct reports and additional indirect reports, you will support the accounting teams with expertise in financial reporting, technical accounting, transactional tax, process controls, and audit coordination.
Salary Range: $135,000 – $206,885 USD annually. This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for a competitive bonus / incentive plan.
