Job summary

Ivy Tech Bloomington campus is seeking a full-time Accounting faculty member who will also serve as the Department Chair of Accounting and the Office Administration and Technologies program. This is a 9-month position with a base salary of $50,000 plus a $3,500 Department Chair allowance.

Summer contracts run June–August and are in addition to the 9-month salary; a full summer contract at 100% would equal one-third of the 9-month pay.

Qualifications

• Master's in accounting preferred for faculty appointment.
• Alternatively a Bachelor's in accounting with CPA or in-field certification and two years' experience.
• Ability to manage instructional programs and college policies.

Responsibilities

• Deliver instruction using appropriate pedagogy and technology.
• Develop and maintain curriculum aligned with program outcomes.
• Maintain records, manage classroom environment, and ensure safety standards.
• Support student recruitment, retention, and success initiatives.
• Participate in program administration and committee work.
